Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 439 reviews.
6 months after rotator cuff surgery I realized my cgo600 was not the right bike for me because of our town's terrible road (asphalt) condition. I have 900 miles on it, but after riding my wife's cgo800 I realized I need an upright riding position. My new (grey) Wayfarer arrived June 6 one week after placing the order, and I assembled it in just under one hour (it was the third time putting together a Tenways) using my own tools. Half the time comes from just unpacking the bike. There was no obvious damage to the box, but oddly the box inside containing the front wheel had a significant corner crushed, but no harm to the contents. What I did notice was that the back rack is not parallel to the back wheel, resulting in the fender being way out of alignment. I was able to get the fender almost centered over the tire after a lot of fooling around, but there is not enough adjustment available (to my knowledge) to make up for the off-center rack. There is some paint rubbed off the rear most part of the rack, but that seems like a result of cardboard rubbing during the long journey to
Chester California- no apparent damage. This rack is so solid it is hard to imagine that that it got bent. There is no adjustment/alignment provision for the rack, and I am the only one who will ever notice or care, and whenever I have the rear wheel off for any reason the rear most fender hole could be elongated to enable enough adjustment to center the fender over the tire. Low priority. As far as the good news, this bike is awesome. I am loving the ability to keep my cadence in the "sweet spot" with the gearing. The amount of power is higher than I expected, as is the range- especially on the lowest setting. Around town I just leave it in ECO, but going into the mountains that surround the town the available boost levels are fantastic. The brakes are really good- had to come to a stop from 39mph after gliding down a long grade :) The display is great, as is the suspension. Overall build quality is top notch- Just 100 miles so far, and I am glad I stayed with the Tenways brand. I did put the seat on my wife's 800, and put the Brooks saddle from my 600 on to the Wayfarer. I also found out my wrists can't handle the shape of the Dutch style bar so I just ordered a low rise bar that is close to straight ( close to the 600 shape). Hope this helps someone who is undecided on buying a Wayfare- I say go for it!
My Tenways Wayfarer e-bike arrived recently, and the assembly process was relatively easy and didn't take much time at all. I really appreciated that all the necessary tools were included right in the box. Even though the instructions for the display were sent separately in an email, it was incredibly easy to install. I also have to highlight the included pannier bag, which is of fantastic quality.
There were just two minor adjustments I had to make out of the box: fixing the handlebar and stem stability and extending the rear fender. However, between a quick Google search and a helpful response from their customer support team, I had both sorted out without much hassle.
As a NYC rider with lots of experience riding the electric Citi Bikes, my first ride on this was an absolute gamechanger. The suspension is so nice—it completely absorbs the bumps, and I can't even feel the city's notorious potholes. The battery life seems solid so far, and switching between the assist modes is incredibly smooth and easy.
So far, I am really, really happy with my decision to choose Tenways over the other options out there. Highly recommend!
The Wayfarer is a nice bike. It comes with great features such as the larger saddle, turn signals, and brake lights. The ride is smooth when going over bumps due to the suspensions in the front and the seat. The throttle is nice, but I have not tried the classes over Class 2.
I do I have my issues with the bike. The saddle at times can be a bit uncomfortable as I am a heavier rider. I will lose connection to the Tenways app on rides as I attempt to track my ride. Lastly, the remote (and basically the LCD display) will become unresponsive during rides requiring a restart of the bike.
One feature I would have liked on this bike is an anti theft feature. Maybe one where the rear wheel would lock up unless I unlock the bike via the LCD screen. Although, I see the issue with an unresponsive remote/LCD screen. Especially when out on rides.
Overall, still a great bike.
Easy to assemble. Took more time getting it out of the container because of the secure packaging. It is much more advanced than the ebike I bought during COVID. The ride is smooth and powerful. A great buy for the money.
Since graduate school, cycling has been my preferred mode of transportation for 40 years. I wanted an e-bike that would enhance my ride, not replace it. I chose the Tenways 800S as the e-bike I would purchase when riding an acoustic bike became increasingly more difficult. That day has come.
Assembly was straightforward and after effective support from the Tenways team I was up and riding. I've been riding "shakedown" rides to test it using regular routes. The results were impressive. The 800S is elegant, stable, and restorative for an old cyclist like me. 5 Stars!
My Tenways CGO600 Pro C is perfect for birding. The Tenways pannier bags fit all my photo stuff (600 mm lens, 1.4X teleconverter, heavy duty gimbal head and camera) and there is still room to strap on my heavy duty tripod. I love biking to different birding locations on a single outing, as it is so easy to pack and unpack all the equipment on my bike. The geared drive is super for the hills around the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York where I live.
At 72 years old, this bike allows me keep up with my friends while still shifting gears.
Several friends are surprised it’s an e-bike.
I have ridden 60 miles on one charge.
I love my Tenways CGO600 Pro-C! The pedal assist combined with the chain drive gives me just the right flexibility for tackling steep hills in Seattle without losing the feel of a real ride. Hills that used to ruin the fun of my commute are now a breeze. It looks super sleek and handles really well. My only minor complaints are the rigid frame (you feel bumps on rough roads) and some issues with the fenders rubbing the tires, which took a few adjustments. Overall, it's a fantastic e-bike for city riding, especially in hilly areas.
I purchased this bike after my brother who bought one suggested it. Other than the difficulty in assembling it due to limited detailed instructions I was pleasantly pleased. Once I rode it for the first time I was hooked. I also had a $100 dollar off coupon that expired but after I emailed Tenways they were quick to respond and gave me a $100 dollar credit. If you are looking for a pedal assist bike look no more as this is a solid bike and the customer service is great!
This Tenways CGO900S ebike now lives in Chapala, MX. We have a wonderful bike path around the north shore of the Lake, but many streets are “paved” with black, volcanic rocks. Today I took my first ride and the bike handled both surfaces very well. My priority is safety, so I didn’t not want a very fast ebike, but one that was solid and could handle a challenge.
The bike was assembled at a local bike store and I was able to ride it home, but when I went to complete the charge, I couldn’t locate the place to insert the round end of the charging unit.
The beautiful Installation Manual does not include instructions on using the locking key (although fairly obvious) and has no schematic of the battery. I think the next Manual to have that information.
The shipping to the US was prompt and the inclusion of tools was an unexpected bonus
The website was helpful, as were the staff that replied to questions.
I am delighted to now have such a quality ebike to start my local explorations.
I just received my new CGO800S in matte black last week and I LOVE THIS BIKE! Easy assembly, right out of the box. I have purchased several e-bikes over the years and this one was package very well (best I've seen) and shipped in a sturdy carton! I'm 65 years old and have been riding bikes all my life. This bike is so smooth, quiet and I get just the amount of exercise I'm looking for from it. The finish on the bike is outstanding. It is an amazing bike. I highly recommend it! Above all has been the excellent customer service and support I have received from Tenways. I've never seen an online retailer respond so expeditiously to a couple questions I had, and they quickly took care of a minor pricing issue I had with the initial purchase. Don't hesitate on this one !!!
I love this bicycle. The belt drive is smooth and quiet, bike is unbelievably light weight, no flats to date so the tires seem to be living up to the puncture proof promise, the fenders are of a great quality, and the adjustable stem is just something I couldn't even find in a comparable bike. That said here are the issues. The first I expected based on other reviews.
There were lots of small finish issues. Some paint chips around the head tube, some paint gone on a few spokes, and oddly enough rubs on the battery case. I love matte black on a bicycle as it is the easiest color to touch up and match. Any matte black touch up from any auto parts store should match. That said if it were in any other color I would have been upset about it. If it were stolen today I would order a replacement but never in any color other than black. The bike was better packed than ebikes I have bought from 2 other companies so I don't see how this could of occurred in shipping. I feel Tenways might want to have a talk with the manufacturing facility.
The front light is aimed too low to be of much use at night. The rear light isn't integrated so no rear brake activation.
Those are the only 3 issues I have. If not for the paint I would have given it 5 stars. I changed the pedals but just because of a personal preference. The ones it ships with have really good bite. I reversed the stem but unlike most people I like a really short reach. Keep in mind on most bikes the kind of adjustment I made would not even be possible without buying a new stem. The one they use is a huge bonus. I change grips because I don't like lock on grips although they do include very nice ones. I added a bike lock and soon a rear rack and now have what is for me the perfect commuter bike.
I’ve been using the city bike recently ( manual and ebike)
I already forgot how good bikes actually feel !
Half the time i use pedal assist on lowest level and half the time no assist. I love it because you still feel you bike but not exhausted.
I was a little worried about belt. I always had regular chain before. Honestly it feels exactly the same, so if you are worried about- don’t. Love this ebike and strongly recommend them.
Also i had sone technical issue and Tenways support was super helpful and responsive.
Ok - I did a lot of research on the CSGO600 Pro and was incredibly excited for it to arrive. It came in yesterday and I immediately unboxed it to begin the assembly. The first thing I noticed was that the pieces of the bike I had started to unwrap did not seem brand new; there were clear cosmetic scuffs and blemishes on different parts of the bike (see photos). I also noticed the bike was covered in oil or grease (later discovered this is mineral oil from the brakes that is currently leaking out of the cables). I immediately called customer service and was instructed to send an email regarding the cosmetic damage and clear wear and tear. I sent the email and continued putting the bike together to see if there were any other elements I should address with customer service before receiving their suggested resolution. I built the bike and tested it out by rolling it up and down the driveway. The first thing I noticed is that the back brake is completely unresponsive and as I pressed the lever, oil continued to leak down the bike and onto my hands. I was curious if maybe I needed to engage the brake somehow and called back customer service. The same woman answered and told me that it sounded like I got a defective bike and that I needed to send another email addressing the brake issues, but that she could not help. I am currently waiting for a response but did want to share my experience in hopes that it may expedite a resolution and prevent somebody else from experiencing the same.
I am still hopeful that this can be sorted out, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed in my Tenways experience so far.
I am 61 years old and had no problem assembling the bike. I had a minor hiccup, the kick stand was missing a screw. Abigail was most helpful in replacing the screw.
The bike is amazing very natural in helping to ride up steep hills and a joy coasting down hills. Just have to watch my speed. I am not use to going so fast. GREAT BIKE!!!!
After my initial first impression review (see 12/20/2023), I’ve now logged a total of 3,221 km (2,013 miles) on the bike and can provide more detailed insights.
Commute Overview:
- Total Distance: 3,221 km (2,013 miles)
- Commute Route: 25 km (50 km round trip) on paved, mostly flat terrain
- Assist Level: I keep the assist on level 1, which is more than sufficient for me.
Battery Performance:
Throughout my rides, I carefully tracked the battery’s start and end charge levels for each trip. Here's the breakdown:
- Total Charges: 54 full charges
- Average Range per Charge: 58.94 km (considering days with extreme wind and cold)
- Shortest Range: 36.6 km per charge in strong headwinds and 0°C (32°F)
- Longest Range: 85 km per charge at 30°C (86°F)
- Best Range: 125 km per charge, when turning the assist off once I reached 30 km/h (25 mph).
Maintenance:
In terms of upkeep, I've only had to make a few minor adjustments:
- at 200 km: Adjusted the front disc brake to eliminate rubbing against the pad.
- at 1700 km: Oiled the pedal bearings to address a clicking sound (eventually replaced the pedals with SD-clickable ones).
- at 2200 km: Retightened the fork cap bolt.
Overall Experience:
The bike still runs flawlessly, just like on day one. It’s solid, well-designed, and performs exceptionally. Customer service has consistently been knowledgeable and professional.
My only regret? Not buying it much, much sooner!
Customer service is amazing. I had a couple questions after purchase and Phillip was attentive and helpful. The bike is also smooth, responsive, comfortable and beautiful. I love it!
Had my first ride and love it. It’s fast and easy to pedal, even in 0 or 1 support. With 2 or 3 it gets up to speed in no time. Perfect for keeping up with car traffic at stop signs or lights. Love it.
Love the bike. I got the AGO X XL and it's a very large bike. I'm 6'3'', 255 pounds with a 34 inseam and I'm just able to stand over the top bar. I can stretch out with the bike. The looks are fantastic. The bike is like getting an SUV, you can carry a lot if stuff on this bike. My longest bike ride has been 55 miles on a charge and still had 36% battery life. I did ride 20 miles without battery assist going down Cherry Creek trail to downtown Denver. I try and keep the assist at level one but at times put it up to 3 for long or steep uphills. I've taken this bike on the road, paved bike paths, and gravel bike parhs. I'm now use to the weight of the bike. The only negative is the front fork, I would like to replace with a better fork in the future.
I am really enjoying my CGO800S. I have had it for 3 weeks and am riding it about every other day for 12 miles. 2 days ago I rode it 25 miles so getting my exercise in and concentrating on strengthening my legs. At 76 I need all the motivation I can get and this bike inspires me!
I've been considering purchasing an E-bike for the last year. After significant research, I decided the Tenways CGO 600 Pro was the bike that best fit my riding style. I primarily use my bicycle for commuting to work. My ride consists of urban streets along with about 3 miles of river trail that provides elevation change. Riding in PAS level one provides plenty of power when encountering hills and headwinds. The bike is a joy to ride, as I now look forward to my daily commute. the seamless manner in which the motor engages via the torque sensor makes this bike handle much like a conventional
bike. I'm enjoying my new ride.

I have owned the Tenways CGO600 Pro for about 2 weeks. I was fortunate to purchase it on sale for a great price. The bike arrived within 4 days of ordering. The assembly was simple with just watching videos on Youtube. This bike is exactly as advertised and exactly what I was hoping for. It is a joy to ride and extremely simple to operate because of the single speed ratio. I find the pedal assist functions to be very helpful when climbing small are steep hills. I tend to use no pedal assist if the terrain is really flat. I am averaging around 50 - 55 miles per charge. Many reviewers stated that it would only last for up to 35 miles. I find that hard to believe. After doing a couple of months research on the various e-bikes available, I am really happy I chose this Tenways bike. Also I would add that for a bike with no shock absorbers, which I am used to having, the ride is quite comfortable. I'm really enjoying bike riding again!!
Beautiful bike. I had some trouble with the disc brakes scraping, but the local bike shop helped me out free of charge. I'm still getting used to the ride and its capabilities, but really enjoying it so far.
Such a smooth ride. I love the effortless speed. Great for people who love to pedal. I use the assist to get me up to speed, and then use my own power to keep the speed up.
It's now been two month since I received my bike and I love it!
I get compliments about it's color and the overall looks.
The bike by itself is really light, but even when you have loads of stuff with you, it feels like nothing.
I did have to get used to the motor-assist as this is my first E-bike but it's nothing jarring.
Ths simple desing of the screen gives you all the info you need at a glance.
At first, I was a bit reluctant to get an E-bike as I was afraid that it wouldn't be as much of an exercise as a regular one but I'm now enjoying riding it everywhere!
I even surprise myself by how much I try to use my bike instead of my car.
So yeah, in my opinion, the bike is worth it!
My number one overall impression is that this bike is fun to ride! The photos are mostly of the small additions I made; adding a water bottle holder, phone holder, mirror, a better bell and pedals, and a suspension seat post. I find I can ride most places in either PAS level one or two. Therefore, battery usage is good. It feels so natural and easy to ride. My few small complaints; why not add the mounting screws for a water bottle? The rear rack is too narrow for all of the bike bags I have come across (they wobble back-and-forth) and I wish they made a smaller frame size. After adding a suspension seat post the seat is nearly too high when it’s all the way down (and I am 68” tall). Love the bike and I have zero regrets!
